Vivo IPL – Top 4 teams of this season!

Ek India Happy Vala! And the happy vala season is now coming to an end. This season of VIVO IPL has been one of the finest seasons of the Indian premier league. It has got everything that a soap opera has, laughter, joy, tears, excitement and what not. And as many soap operas end their campaign with bang, IPL too has reached its climax and surely is gonna end with a bash.

The league matches are finished and the top 4 teams of this IPL have made their way for the playoffs. Talking about the teams and the league matches then, Rising Pune Supergiants and Kings XI Punjab were out of the equation for the top 4. The fight now was just between 6 teams and the last matches between them were the deciders. Mumbai Indians took on Gujarat Lions in a do or die match on Saturday. Not just a win, but a win with a good margin was exactly what MI needed. But it was not their day as Gujarat defeated Mumbai comfortably by 6 wickets. With this defeat, it was almost certain that Mumbai Indians won’t qualify for the playoffs.

On May 22nd Kolkata Knight Riders took on Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore were against Delhi Daredevils.  Sun Risers Hyderabad were in a comfortable position to qualify for the playoffs, but it was KKR who desperately needed a win to seal their place in the top 4. And this desperateness helped them to secure a win against SRH by a margin of 22 runs. With this win, KKR and SRH both qualified for the playoffs and the last match between the deadly RCB and the young DD side was the decider for the last spot in the top 4. Bangalore has been in a brilliant form this season; thanks to ABD and Kohli for some sensational batting performance. They carried on with their form and they defeated the young Delhi side by 6 wickets. Virat Kohli was the Man of the match again for his brilliant 50. With this win, RCB jumped to the 2nd spot in the table thus qualifying for the playoffs.
