It’s time to master patience in life!

It’s time to master patience in life!

Through a lifetime, one finds themselves in different phases. School, college, work, marriage, parenting, old age, all these put us through the crap, which we fight and mold ourselves. I’m in college and I’m in a phase where my past rejuvenated hopes yet again found me in a mess. And just like you, I’ve been through a lot. Haha.

You know that you’ve come to a stage in your life where you are so much better than you used to be. But then there’s this little miscommunication between the voice in your head and the universe. Life is still total crap. Hours spent training yourself according to the “rules of leaders”. Our idols motivate us, stories and songs inspire us, and joyous experiences fuel our soul. The problem is staying motivated. It is so easy to get dispirited, no matter what your resolutions might be. From having a strict schedule to working 10 hours a day, from staying positive to making others happy, and yet, you look down and you’re standing in a pile of stinking bull shit. Anyone who has ever tried to achieve a goal or become mature will have been here. You want to stay happy, at peace and choose humanity, but at end of the day, you just want to punch someone in the face.

I feel that this is the place where you lose it. You’ve come a long way forward but now you’re just stuck and frustrated. Probably asking yourself, where did I go wrong? And that’s when the rivers said,

“When you’ve known everything, know patience.”

– Vastavikta Gandhi

Rivers pass huge lengths of lands to meet the sea. They’ve seen beautiful springs and wild storms, rested in the shade of (fully grown handsome trees) and frozen when it snowed. But it kept going, because it knew better. Better than getting hypnotized by the fragrance of flowers or scared by the thunder. Be like the river, be wise and patient and inculcate perseverance in your life; because

“All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.”

– Samuel Beckett

One of the major reasons one is in such situation is that people rush. We’re so anxious for happiness and so unaccepting towards failure that we forget: honey, it’s life, breathe!

I hope this article helped you. Please comment and let me know your thoughts! Happy living.
