Eight reasons to pack your bags…and travel !

Yes, we love our jobs and our social lives in our cities! But once in a while it is (or it should be) mandatory to plan a trip with our family and friends and have a little fun. Holding back on our vacation holidays like Dr. Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory, are we? Here are the eight amazing reasons why you should pack your bags and say Mahalo to new places and experiences.

  1. Breaking away from the boring old routine.

We all know that you have been slaving away your days crouching in your desk and chair. Life gets hectic sometimes and the best way to escape the atrocities of same old boring monotonous life is none other than change of air and water. A get-away even during the weekends is a huge stress reliever and helps you get freshen up. Moreover, you are thrilled and energetic as ever when you come back. Workaholics can get their much-needed quick vacations on weekends. Make time to find out places near you which is perfect for a quick weekend get-away.

  1. Say hello to breath-taking new experiences.

Travelling comes with a bonus pack of new experiences. Every place has some or the other exciting new things to try out. Be it the water sports on the beaches; biking, trekking, bungee jumping or paragliding in hilly areas; or just touring to get in touch with the historical places, whatever your taste may be, this world is a place for everything.

  1. Much awaited relaxation.

An escape to a relaxing spot is everybody’s right. Travelling can be fun as well as relaxing. Going on vacation lets us recharge our “batteries” by disconnecting us from our regular life. A lot of travelling destinations offer relaxation activities. The best thing about this way of relieving stress is that you come back to your routine filled up with enthusiasm.

  1. Change of Beauty.

Sure we have a bunch of places to visit in our own cities or towns. But once in a while it’s nice to explore other places and see a change of scenery. Travelling ensures that you get to experience a whole package of magnificently beautiful places.

    5. Here’s to making new memories.

Got an amazing road trip planned with your best buddies? Don’t let it just be a wishful thinking. Be it family or friends, travelling to amazing destinations ensures memories. These memories will create a bond that nothing can erase no matter what happens with the friendship/relationship. Looking back to the photographs will make you nostalgic and glad that you didn’t miss out on such a wonderful experience. Also, you get to tell people nice stories about your trip.

   6. Getting to know new cultures.

One of the best benefits of travelling is getting in touch of new cultures. Travelling, to many people, is more than just local touring. If you are one of those people who takes delight in trying out new things then you need to look around the world rather than just looking around Starbucks and Mc. Donald’s. Every place has their own tastes, languages, cuisines, festivals, art etc. Life is all about trying out new stuff. Who knows a vacation to a different culture may just change the way you were looking at it, for better or for worse. With this we come to the next point.

    7. Open your mind, intake more knowledge.

Exploring new places and their customs may widen your knowledge. It helps us review our lives and how different it is from the one we see in different places. It may even help change our perspective of life. Travelling is not just zeroed down to looking around, it also helps us know better about what is going around the world. Seeing and perceiving is better than reading it out in a book, no?

  8. Style.

Last but not the least, to all the fashion junkies out there, travelling gets you in touch with new styles and fashion. And isn’t that everybody’s dream?

Aren’t these reasons enough to pack your bags and escape to the exciting places the world has to offer? From stress relieving to rethinking your life, travelling is the best solution for breaking out from your shell. It’s time that we hold our worries on the bay and go have a chunk of adventure. Never say no to a travel destination! As said by T.S Eliot,

“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”
