Olympics and India

The most awaited and controversial events of the world history Olympics is back , this time in Rio de Janeiro starting 5th August. This event has much opportunity to offer more than just sequential timing of sports each day.

It has the vibe and power of bringing hearts and pulse to the every stage in game with players. More than just the players, the competitive edge men and women players bring on the field is imminent. It’s importance is of national significance.

Here in India, the time hasn’t changed it ‘s course , still every player carries the hopes and future prospect of that sport at home nation, at least in India.

The illustrious condition of ‘Sports’ in our country is confined to cricket alias The Gentleman’s Game. The talent here is hard to ignore. This sport garners respect and love for Virat Kohli , MS Dhoni , Shikhar Dhawan , Irfan Pathan carrying forward the legacy of Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Lakman , Sunil Gavaskar from the best of the times. Albeit its wide presence, Olympics remains the cake for other sports like Tennis , wrestling , boxing, gymnastics , shooting archery among other competitive sports.

Out of the famous Indian sportsperson whom me trust to restore our state subject ‘ Sports’ a serious attention after 10-year hiatus are as follows :-

Leander Paes : Bronze, 1996 Atlantis

Ragyavardhan Singh Rathore: Silver, 2004 Athens
